We are a mixed billing practice. At the start of each financial year, from 1st July to 30th June, only the first 5 visits will incur a gap fee. Given that it is a partially paid account, you will receive a cheque from Medicare in the mail that covers the Medicare component of your consultation. This needs to be returned to the GP within 90 days as it is a "pay doctor" cheque.
After you have reached your maximum payment amount, you will be bulk billed until the start of the next financial year.
ARE YOU A CARD HOLDER?
If you have a Health Care Card, Pension Card, Concession Card or are 16 years and under, you will receive a discount.
WHY DO WE CHARGE A FEE FOR MEDICAL SERVICES?
Medicare rebates set by the Government have not kept pace with the cost of medical services and have not covered the true cost of delivering quality medical care from our doctors with over 30 years of experience.
The out of pocket fee ensures Hilton Doctors Surgery can continue to provide high quality care to you and your family.
NON-MEDICARE HOLDERS
For patients without Medicare, your consultation will be privately charged as per the recommended fee schedule set by the Medical Association of Australia (AMA). The fee will be dependent on the duration and complexity of the consultation.

Please notify us if you need to cancel your appointment at least 12 hours in advance.
When a patient does not show for a scheduled appointment, other patients lose the opportunity to be seen.
A fee of $30.00 will apply for late cancellations or no-shows.
If you have missed more than three appointments, you will then be charged a full private fee for additional appointments missed.
